Range Rover by Startech

For those who are not satisfied with the looks of their Range Rover, Startech, a German tuner from the Brabus Group, revealed today its latest customization kit for the British SUV. The new kit includes new stylishly integrated LED daytime running lights, trapezoidal stainless-steel exhaust tips, new 22-inch Startech Monostar IV light-alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance tires in size 295/35 R 22 front and back. Inside we find exclusive interiors with fully leather and Alcantara upholsteries and precious-wood or carbon-fiber inlays in any color and grain.

With stylishly integrated LED daytime running lights STARTECH lends the Range Rover an even more striking appearance and further improved active safety. The light inserts come in the same color as the door handles and the front grille, eliminating the need for costly painting.

The new STARTECH Monostar IV light-alloy wheels are another eye catcher. The five-spoke wheels feature a beautiful combination of grey and polished surfaces with a matte lacquer finish. The size 10Jx22 wheels are mounted with high-performance tires in size 295/35 R 22 front and back.

Immediately noticeable in the rear are the dual trapezoidal stainless-steel exhaust tips, which were developed to add some more visual pizzazz to the stock exhaust system.

The STARTECH designers demonstrated their ingenuity in the interior as well. Leather door panels on all four doors in the same color as the production leather complete the leather interior. Special contrast-colored cords create a particularly customized look.

Lumma's BMW CLR X650 GT

BMW's hard-to-classify X6 is still warm from the oven, so to speak, and already the tuners are lining up to make it hotter. One of the first to step up is LUMMA Design. The Winterlinger-based tuner's CLR X 650 features a widebody kit and performance upgrades and will be displayed at the Essen Motor Show.

LUMMA's kit starts on the outside, with some heavy 23-inch wheels and a full widebody kit including 5cm fender extensions, front and rear bumper spoilers and side skirts. Carbon-fiber detailing is also used on the show car. An air ducted carbon hood is also included. The CLR X 650 is snugged down over those massive wheels thanks to a 35mm drop courtesy of the lowered sport suspension designed by LUMMA.

The 4.4 liter turbocharged V8 has a reprogrammed ECU and a stainless sport exhaust to boost power, and LUMMA has also introduced a "gas pedal power module" (GPM) that increases pedal response.

The interior has not escaped notice either. Leather and Alcantara wrap the seating surfaces, while red LUMMA-logo gauges and floormats make sure it's obvious who's responsible for this vehicle. Aluminum pedals and footrest are also engraved with the LUMMA logo.

Range Rover Sport Cosworth RST 300

Range Rovers have always been rich territory for tuning companies, and the latest from Kahn Design is the Cosworth Sport RST 300.

Kahn has developed a styling kit for the new Range Rover Sport HST that includes a carbonfibre bonnet, carbonfibre wheelarch extensions, all-new carbonfibre bumpers front and rear, and twin carbonfibre tail spoilers. The carbonfibre is wowen into a check pattern and left lacquered but unpainted on its panels to give an expensive and unusual look.
The rims are also pretty special, lightweight forged 22in aluminium wheels that, Kahn claims, save 10kg of unsprung mass per corner. Who really cares as they look mental.

The top spanners at Cosworth are responsible for teasing an extra 32bhp and 118 lb ft of torque from Land Rover’s 3.6-litre TDV8 engine for this car. Not really a massive change in everyday driving but the increased torque is deep. It’s half a second faster than a standard Range Sport V8 diesel over the 0-60mph dash, 5mph faster at the top end, and pulls much harder between 2500 and 3500rpm.
